Being a private investigator is not like what you see on TV, but it can be a rewarding career. The US Department of Labor predicts substantial growth in the profession over the next ten years due to a number of factors.  There will also be a substantial growth in the number of people going into this field.  As a result, competition for jobs will be high and new applicants will need to stand out by demonstrating exceptional skill or previous experience.
